Brendon Todd, coming off a victory in Bermuda, shared the direct with fellow American Vaughn Taylor on Sunday when darkness halted the remaining spherical of the US PGA Mayakoba Classic.
Taylor and Todd, each on 20-underneath par with four holes to finish, have been amongst seven prime-10 players yet to finish their closing round when sunset fell at Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
The competition fell behind after major rains washed out Thursday’s opening round play.
Mexico’s Carlos Ortiz and American Harris English ended up on 19-under, Ortiz with one hole to play and English with 4 remaining. American Adam Prolonged was 18-under with three holes remaining.
Todd seized the lead with a six-under par 65 in Sunday’s 3rd round and players went straight into the last round, hurrying in a unsuccessful bid to full 36 holes on the closing working day.
Todd, 34, gained his to start with US PGA crown at the 2014 Byron Nelson Championship then finished a five-year drought before winning the Bermuda Championship.
“I feel fantastic about my activity. Satisfied to have a likelihood to get this following winning in Bermuda,” Todd said. “I am enthusiastic for the chance.”
