Walker Campbell and his William & Mary Men's Golf teammates posted two strong scores as it shot a 574 (-2) in the first two rounds of the Firestone Invitational.
William & Mary shot a 292 (+4) in the first round, before shooting a 282 (-6) in the second round. Ohio holds the first day lead with a 564 (-12) through 36-holes.
Sophomore Trevor Hecht leads William & Mary after the first day and is tied for 18th for the event. Hecht posted a 72 (E) in the first round, and lowered his score by two strokes as he recorded a 70 (-2) the second time through.
The whole William & Mary team enjoyed a strong day on the course as junior Ben Morris recorded a 71 (-1) and carded a 144 (E) for the day. Senior David Hicks and junior Campbell who is making his season debut each posted 145's (+1) for the tournament. Hicks shot a 70 (-2) in the second round, while Campbell carded a 71 (-1) in his second round. Senior Will Stewart rounds out the team with a 149 (+5), but also recorded a 71 (-1) in the final round of the day.
