Organizers will be hoping for another exciting finish as the countdown to the 2018 Johnnie Walker Classic is nearing.
The 2018 edition will take place on Saturday April 28th and Sunday April 29th at the Ocean View Golf Course.
Golf Professional at the Club Brian Morris said, “The numbers for this year has gone up from the number we had last year which is encouraging and we are hoping it continues to grow.”
All three defending champions have signed up to defend their titles with Professional Division champion Dwayne Pearman hoping for another comfortable two days, while Kavon Trott out to defend his Senior Amateur Division title, while Open Amateur Division champion Damian Palanyandi will be looking to hold off an even bigger field.
In 2017 a playoff was required in the Senior Amateur Division between Trott and Allan Bradshaw. Trott won on the 1st playoff hole on hole #18, after both shot a Second Round 4-over par 74’s.
Palanyandi once again showed his form and won the Open Amateur Division by 4 shots over Leroy Robinson, Palanyandi shot a Second Round 3-under par 67, while Robinson shot a second round 1-over par 71.
In the Professional Division, Pearman won by a convincing margin of 6 strokes over Daniel Augustus, Pearman stroked a Second Round 4-under par 66, with Augustus shooting 1-under 69.
