Walker Campbell and his William & Mary Men's Golf teammates began play in its 41st annual Kingsmill Intercollegiate by firing 308 (+28) in the Opening Round on the River Course at Kingsmill Resort. Utah Valley has the team lead after the first day with its 287 (+7).
Junior David Hicks, who has appeared in the scoring lineup in every round this season, paced William & Mary by firing a 74 (+4) in his First Round, the junior is in 21st place after day one. Classmate Will Stewart returned to the lineup and is a stroke off the pace set by Hicks, firing a 75 (+5).
All 12 William & Mary players are playing in the tournament as sophomore Campbell highlighted William & Mary's individual players with a 75 (+5) in the Opening Round to finish T35th. Senior Sam Aronoff, who made his spring debut, fired a 76 (+6) in his first time through the course.
