A big field of more than 100 golfers including Bermuda’s Camiko Smith and Dwayne Pearman tee’d off at the prestigious 51st Jamaica Open Golf Championship at the Half Moon Golf Course in Montego Bay, St James.
Total prize money is US$100,000, with the winner set to pocket $US17,000.
Smith ended the day T6th after his First Round 1-under par 71, while Pearman finished the day T52nd at 6-over par 78.
Smith’s scorecard showed him recording 5 Birdies, 10 Pars, 2 Bogey’s and 1 Double Bogey.
Pearman’s round consisted of a Birdie, 11 Pars, 5 Bogey’s and 1 Double Bogey.
