IslandStats.com
In its first event of the 2017-18 season, the Elizabeth Parsons and her Wagner College Women's Golf teammates earned a seventh-place finish at the two-day, 54-hole Rutgers Invitational with sophomore Parsons leading the way individually by finishing in a tie for 18th.

The Top-20 effort for Parsons in the 65-person field was highlighted by a third-round score of one-over par 73, which came on the heels of rounds of 80 and 82, giving her a 235 total. Parsons' 73 on the Par-72, 6050-yard Rutgers University Golf Course, tied for the sixth-best score of the weekend.

Georgetown, led by medalist Alexa Popowitz's three-over par 219, came on top in the 11-team field with a team score of 45-over par 909, edging out Delaware, who finished in second place at 47-over par 911. Rutgers finished in third at 50-over par 914, with Albany fourth (69-over par 933) and Northeast Conference-rival Fairleigh Dickinson rounding out the top five (77-over par 941). Wagner's seventh-place score was a 99-over par 963.
