Campbell's William & Mary Golf Season Announced

Walker Campbell’s William & Mary director of golf Jay Albaugh announced the 2017-18 schedule. The slate is highlighted by nine regular season tournaments, including hosting the 41st annual Kingsmill Intercollegiate in March.

W&M will appear in five of its nine regular season tournaments this fall, all of which will be away from Williamsburg. In all they will travel 4,778 miles round trip during the first half of the season.

The regular season gets underway as Campbell and his teammates head to the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational hosted by Marshall on September 11th and 12th. They will head out the following week as they compete in the Raising Canes Intercollegiate at the Arlington Golf Club in Richmond, Kentucky on September 16th – 17th.

After more than a two-week hiatus, W&M continues its fall schedule with three straight weeks of tournaments to conclude the fall. Action gets back in swing as the Green and Gold head to the Firestone Intercollegiate in Akron, Ohio on Oct. 2nd – 3rd. W&M will then hit the links at the Fighting Irish Invitational on Oct. 8th – 9th, before concluding the fall slate at the Georgetown Intercollegiate that runs, Oct. 16th – 17th.

W&M opens the spring schedule as it travels to the Invitational at Savannah Harbor on Feb. 17th and 18th. A season ago, W&M cruised to the event title shooting a school record 852 (-12).

The Tribe continues its spring schedule at the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational on March 5-6. The tournament will be played at the Palmetto Golf Club in Aiken, Ga.

Once again, the Green and Gold will host the Kingsmill Intercollegiate March 25th – 27th. The tournament will run for its 41st season and be played on the famed River Course at the Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg.

W&M's final tune-up prior to the CAA Tournament will be held at the Redhawks Invitational. The event, which runs from April 2nd – 3rd will be played at Chambers Bay Golf Club in University Place, Washington.

The annual CAA Championship will be held over the weekend of April 20th – 22nd. The three-round event's host will be announced at a later date.
