Countdown to Bermuda Corporate Volleyball Tournament

IslandStats.com
The Bermuda Volleyball Association (BVA) is gearing up for its 23rd annual Corporate Volleyball Tournament, a massive fundraising event that benefits the Men’s, Women’s and Junior National Volleyball Teams held on Saturday, May 14th at North Village Community Club.

The Corporate Volleyball Tournament is a recreational, co-ed tournament for players of all levels. It’s open to BVA and non-BVA members and is intended to introduce new people to the sport of volleyball while providing companies the opportunity to participate in a sporting event together.

“We’re so proud to host the Corporate Volleyball Tournament for a twenty-third year in a row,” said BVA co-president Stacey Madeiros-Cooke. “Not only is this event a huge benefit to companies that want their workforce to engage in an active day of team building, but this tournament is a vital component of our National Team’s fundraising calendar.”

It’s also fun for the whole family.

Featuring a Kids Zone with bouncy castles, kids’ mini-volleyball and food and beverage concessions, the Corporate Volleyball Tournament is a perfect venue for children of all ages.

Each team will have six co-ed players and will compete on the grassy pitch of the North Village Community Club, with winning teams to be awarded prizes from the BVA.

Special thanks to the Bermuda Volleyball Association’s generous sponsors including Corona, Flanagan’s Irish Pub and Barritt’s, which has sponsored this event since its inception.

“Without the generous support of our sponsors and Bermuda’s corporate community, our men’s, women’s and junior national volleyball teams would not be able to represent the island on a global scale,” says BVA co-president Stacey Madeiros-Cooke. “We’re so very grateful for their participation in this event.”
