Bermuda began taking part in the Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association’s Beach Volleyball Continental Cup in Antigua. The Continental Cup is the 2016 Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Beach Volleyball.
Bermuda is being represented by the teams of Lisa LeBlanc & Rebecca White and Stacey Dorush & Vikki Stevenson.
Bermuda took on Dominica to get things underway at beautiful Castaways Beach.
Dominica defeated Bermuda 2 – 0, Catherine Celaire-Francis and Anna-Maria Xavier defeated the Bermuda pair of Dorush and Stevenson in straight games 21-10, 21-13.
Zahidu Henry and Marcia Renault-Gustave defeated the Bermuda pair of LeBlanc and White 2-1.
LeBlanc and White won the first game 22 - 20, but Henry and Renault-Gustave won the second game 21 – 17. Henry and Renault-Gustave then closed out the game winning the third and final game 15 – 10.
