Taahira Butterfield, Alexis Trott and their University of Albany Women’s Track & Field teammates won their 10th-Straight Outdoor Title when they finished on top of the America East Outdoor Championships Standing.
The UAlbany Women’s Track & Field team claimed victory in eight events and defeating runner-up New Hampshire 228-130.
The 4x100m relay team of Butterfield, Chanel Smith, Dayleen Santana Rodriguez, and Stephanie Osuji placed first in 44.93, breaking the previous championship meet record of 45.73 set in 2011 by Boston University. It was the fourth straight year UAlbany won the event.
Butterfield placed third in the Women’s 100m Dash in a Personal-Best 11.92.
During the Women’s 200m Dash Butterfield placed third in 24.40.
