Taahira Butterfield represented the University of Albany at the Penn Relays Carnival.
During the Women’s 4x100m Relay the Albany team of Butterfield, Chanel Smith, Dayleen Santana Rodriguez, and Stephanie Osuji placed third in the Championship of America Final in 44.83, breaking their own school record of 44.92 set two weeks ago in Jamaica’s UTech Classic. The time also wins the ECAC Division.
In the Women’s 4x200m Relay the Albany team of Jahari Coleman, Dayleen Santana Rodriguez, Chanel Smith, and Butterfield placed seventh in the Championship of America Final, setting a new school record of 1:36.62.
