Bermuda Olympian Tyrone Smith and other competitors set to compete in the World Indoor Championships in Birmingham on Thursday have been informed that British long jumper Greg Rutherford has withdrawn.
The 2012 Olympic champion won the British indoor title in Birmingham last week and competed at the Indoor Grand Prix in Glasgow on Sunday.
However, the 31-year-old wants to regain full fitness before the European Championships in Berlin in August.
"It has not been an easy decision," said Rutherford.
Smith and the other competitors are all set for competition.
