Senior Dage Minors took home the Bronze Medal in the 800-meter final earning All-New England honors to lead the Franklin Pierce University Men's Track & Field team on the second and final day of the NEICAAA Championships, held at Reggie Lewis Center.
Franklin Pierce collected 11 points on the final day, which pushed its meet total to 15 and allowed the team to finish in a tie for 14th, out of 32 teams to score points.
Minors' Bronze performance came in one of the most competitive events of the entire meet. His third-place time of 1:49.10 marked the third time this winter he has met the NCAA Championships automatic qualifying standard in the event. Minors picked up six points and All-New England honors for his run, while his time was just 11 hundredths of a second behind the event's winner, Sacred Heart junior Trevor Guerrera.
