Bermuda’s Paralympic Jessica Lewis recorded a new National Record and a Personal Best time of 1:58.24 on her way to finishing 6th in the Rio Olympic Stadium.
Taking to the track for Heat 2 of the T53 Women’s 800m her final event of the 2016 Paralympic Games, Lewis knocked five seconds off her previous best time.
An excited Lewis said after the race, “To end my second Paralympics like this is just great, taking five seconds off my previous best time was remarkable.”
