Yesterday www.islandstats.com reported that Bermuda finished 8th during the recently concluded Caribbean Union of Teachers Track and Field Championships in British Virgin Islands.
With results available online like other Track Meets that young Bermudians compete in today we bring you the results from the events that the Bermudian athletes competed in.
Isaiah O'Brien won the Gold medal during the Under 9 Boys Cricket Ball Throw with the top toss of 42.36.
Selah Tuzo won a Silver Medal during the Girls 1000m Open race stopping the clock with a time of 3:11.70, she was outlegged by Asia Foster from Barbados who clocked 3:11.48. Bermuda's second Silver Medal came when JahQuala Tucker finished second during the Under 15 Girls Shot Put recording a toss of 10.59m. Katherine Bean-Rosario won the Bronze Medal during the Under 11 Girls Cricket Ball Throw recording a toss of 35.41.
Massassi Smith finished 6th competing in the Under 13 Girls High jump with a leap of 1.23m. I'Aura Golding finished 7th competing in the Under 11 Girls Long Jump leaping 3.42m.
With a toss of 7.74m Zakhari Tuner finished 8th competing in the Under 15 Girls Javelin Throw, while Keisha Grant finished 4th competing in the Under 9 Girls Cricket Ball Throw tossing the ball 19.84m. Grant then finished 4th competing in the Under 9 Girls 80m Dash clocking a time of 12.55.
During the Under 9 Boys 80m Dash Tajahri Rogers finished 7th stopping the clock in 12.39, while Dhulche DeSilva finished 8th during the Under 11 Girls 100m Dash with a time of 15.14. Son'Ja Brown finished 10th during the Under 11 Boys 100m Dash recording a time of 14.91.
Lakray DeGrilla clocked 14.38 on her way to finishing 9th in the Under 13 Girls 100m Dash, while Keshon Paynter finished 8th clocking 13.76 during the Under 13 Boys 100m Dash, clokcing a time of 13.36 saw Za'Kayza Parson finish 9th in the Under 15 Girls 100m Dash.
In the Under 15 Boys 100m Dash Akino Darrell finished 7th with a time of 12.10, Golding clocked 54.51 finishing 9th in the Under 11 Girls 300m Dash. Paris-Mitchell Robinson stopped the clock with a time of 47.26 during the Under 11 Boys 300m Dash that saw him finish 4th.
DeGrilla clocked 1:12.26 finishing 6th during the Under 13 Girls 400m Dash, Zaki Gibbons-DeShields finished 8th during the Under 9 Boys Long Jump leaping 3.10m, Tuzo clocked a time of 1:03.10 on her way to finishing 5th during the Under 15 Girls 400m Dash.
Tyrique Smith finished 9th in the Under 15 Boys 400m Dash with a time of 58.05, while Charlize Simms finished 8th during the Under 13 Girls Cricket Ball throw tossing 28.04m. The Bermuda Under 13 Girls 800 Sprint Medley Relay team finished 6th with a time of 2:10.56.
Stopping the clock in a time of 1:56.99 saw the Bermuda Under 15 Girls 800 Sprint Medley team finished 5th, Robinson recorded a toss of 30.44m on his way to finishing 9th in the Under 11 Boys Cricket Ball Throw.
During the Under 13 Girls Long Jump Jahstice Grant finished 9th with a leap of 3.58m, Kanzi Emery leaped 4.98m on her way to finishing 4th during the Under 15 Girls Long Jump. Tyrique Smith finished 9th during the Under 15 Boys Shot Put with a toss of 8.91m.
In the Under 9 Girls 150m Dash Keisha Grant finished 8th with a time of 24.08, while Isaiah O'Brien finished 5th during the Under 9 Boys 150m Dash stopping the clock at 22.83. Shania Furbert's time of 32.17 saw her finish 10th during the Under 11 Girls 200m Dash.
