Indiana University Northwest hosted Amali Smith and her Wilberforce University Women’s Basketball teammates picking up a 59-48 win.
Indiana University Northwest used a 2-3 zone to slow the tempo of Wilberforce and shook off a slow start to regain the lead at 31-25 at the half led by senior Alexis Blake who nearly posted a double-double in the first half with 11 points and 9 rebounds.
The Indiana University Northwest defense allowed just 30 points to Wilberforce over the final three quarters and would push the lead to as many as 17 points before as they cruised to their fifth straight win.
Wilberforce's Brittney Wells led all scorers with 21 points, while Smith played 29:46 in the match going 1 for 2 from the Field, she would also have 2 Rebounds to go along with 2 Steals.
