Cydnee Todd and her Thomas College Women's Basketball teammates earned a 69-53 road victory at Gordon College in a non-conference matchup.
The teams traded the lead back and forth for most of the first quarter. The Terriers scored five points in the last 1:24 of the quarter to make it a 16-14 game. They stretched the lead out to 11 in the second quarter with a 16-7 run. The Fighting Scots cut the lead to eight points to close out the quarter.
Thomas started the third quarter with a 7-4 run to stretch the lead back out to 11 points. Gordon cut the lead down to ten points with a 16-15 run with 4:11 left in the game. The Terriers sealed the victory with an 8-2 run.
The Terriers were led by Amira Jones as she neared a double-double with 14 points and eight rebounds while Sammie Griffin finished with 13 points, six rebounds, and seven assists. Malorie Weaver followed with eight points and five boards as Jordan Turner contributed with seven points and eight rebounds.
Meghan Foley finished with 27 points, two rebounds, and one assist for the Scots. Brooke Dyson scored eight points, grabbed three rebounds, and made two three-pointers.
