Amali Smith and her Wilberforce Ohio University Women’s basketball teammates picked up a 5 point victory over St. Mary-of-the-Woods Women’s Basketball team at home 84 – 79.
Wilberforce outscored their opponents 27 – 25 in the first period, the game was level at 43 – 43 at the half as Wilberforce were outscored 18 - 16 in the second period.
The third period saw Wilberforce and St. Mary-of-the-Woods both score 15 points going into the final period level at 58 – 58. Wilberforce would score 26 points in the final period and restricted their opponents to 21 points for the win.
Smith would score 7 points on the night going 2-7 from the Field and 1-5 from behind the 3 Point Line. Smith would also grab 7 Rebounds, to go along with 4 Assist and 4 Steals.
