Mykal Glasgow and his Thomas College Men's Basketball teammates dropped a 99-64 decision to Lehman College in the first day of the Lehman Coaches vs. Cancer Classic.
In the loss, Thomas fall to 5-4 (3-0 NAC) on the year while Lehman move to .500 at 5-5 (2-2 CUNYAC).
Thomas looked to be in control in the first few minutes of play as Jordan Derosby and Tailour Hall put the red and black up 5-0. The early lead was erased quickly as Lehman responded with a 14-0 run on six Thomas turnovers.
Glasgow played six minutes going 0 for 1 from the Field.
Luis Hernandez led Lehman in their strong first half as he netted 15 points and pulled down four rebounds. Lehman shot 23-for-35 from the floor and a perfect 5-5 from behind the three-point line to jump out to a 53-21 lead going into the break. Thomas could not get the shots to fall as they finished the first half at 6-for-28 shooting and 3-for-17 from behind the arch. Derosby finished the half with six points and six rebounds to lead the team. Thomas also turned the ball over 12 times compared to Lehman's four.
