In the latest round of the Island Basketball League (IBL) saw 231 points scored and another new record established.
The opener saw the Hoopstars hold off Twisters to win 56-50 and move to a record of 4-3 on the season and put Twisters who won 11 straight games last season which was an IBL record are 3-4 now. Anthony Furbert led the Hoopstars with 18 points, while the Twisters got 21 points from Phil Davis.
Game two saw the now 8-0 Tsunami defeat a young Skyforce team again within two nights outscoring them by 55 points 90-35, they also set a IBL record of 46 points in the first half. Dean Jones and Johnny Lugo both scored 22 points each for the Tsunami’s and Jarel Smith scored 16 points for the Skyforce.
