Playing without team captain Sullivans Phillips in their final HaiCo World Indigenous Basketball Challenge game Bermuda ended on the wrong end of the score 87-92 in favor of Vancouver Island.
The Challenge concluded for Bermuda at the Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
Bermuda got 28 points from Chris Crumpler, 20 from Jason Lowe and 18 from Kieron Burgess, however that was not enough to overcome repeated defensive mistakes. Bermuda National Coach Roderick Spencer said, “4 games in 4 days seemed to have taken its toll on the team and although we showed we can play with any of these teams we now need to learn to do it for 40 minutes a game and every game.”
