Bermuda Go Down in Scotland

Bermuda went down twice as the European Netball Championships continued in Scotland.

Bermuda took on the Republic of Ireland in their opener and went down 44-24.

Bermuda found themselves down 12-8 at the end of the first quarter, Ireland took an 8 point lead into the halftime break with the score 20-12. They extended the lead at the end of the third quarter to 34-18, before closing out the match.

Danielle Raynor scored 20 goals, while Talia Lucas and Jahtuere Trott scored 2 goals each.

In the second match of the day against Gibraltar, Bermuda went down 50 44. The match was exciting from beginning to the end as the two teams refused to give up. Bermuda scored their 44 goals off 52 attempts.

Gibraltar held a 26 21 lead over Bermuda in a very tight tactical first half of the game. Raynor led the Bermuda team again this time scoring 32 goals, Trott assisted with 9 goals and Lucas scored 3 times.
