Patrick Casey from the United States and Scotland’s Eilish McColgan claimed back to back titles when they ran to victory to become the BF&M 10K Men’s and Women’s Champions at the National Sports Center as the International Race Weekend continued.
Casey clocked a winning time of 31:31, with Abdulmenan Kasim Gelatu from Ethiopian second in 31:04 and Dey Dey from Sudan was third in 31:23.
Crossing the line ninth overall was McColgan sclocking a time of 33:28, Nuhamin Bogale Ashame from Ethiopia was the second female finisher and 12th overall with a time of 35:33 and Therese Haiss from the United States was the third female finisher and 14th overall in a time of 36:09.
Edward Shum was the first local male finisher crossing the line 10th overall with a time of 34:56, while Gayle Lindsay was the top local female finisher stopping the clock in a time of 39:57 finishing 32nd overall.
