Scott Barnes was back on the track as the Super Nationals 24 Kart Racing got started at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Practice and qualifying races took place with Barnes competing in the Master Shifter by RLV Class.
In Practice 5, Barnes clocked the 8th fastest time of 45.055 on his 8th and final lap.
Barnes would go even faster in Practice 6, Barnes on his 5th lap was clocked at 44.257 which saw him finish 2nd.
In the final event of the day, Barnes would take to the track for the Qualifying Rund finishing 7th with his fastest lap clocked at 44.755, which came on his 6th.
Barnes said, “After a good last practice sitting P2, qualifying was short and under the lights, we didn’t make a good enough kart change for the changing track conditions and had a crap 7th place finish in the qualifier…. Practice is in the books, time to go racing tomorrow here in Vegas.”
