Scott Barnes concluded taking part in the SKUSA Pro Tour Summer Nationals.
Barnes finished 2nd overall after three days of racing.
Barnes was on the SKUSA G1 Class Podium again for a third consecutive day after finishing second in the Final.
In the Pre-Final race, Barnes encountered a mechanical after 4 laps and did not finish, this after starting in the pole position for the race.
In the Final which saw the drivers complete 16 laps, Barnes finished second clocking a time of 20:17.070, he finished behind Joe Ruch who clocked a winning time of 20:10.092.
Barnes would finish the three-day racing with 1 win in the Final, he would also finish second twice in Finals. The result saw Barnes finish 2nd overall.
Barnes said, "I finished off the weekend with another 2nd place, I made a change before the pre-final and found some speed, I was leading at lap 5 of 10 when my carburetor broke and had to retire from the race.
I had to start in the back in the final and wasn’t able to get to Ruch to try to challenge for the win."
