It was a long day on the dock for the ILCA 6 competitors including Bermuda pair Sebastian Kempe and Nicole Stovell, as the light winds made it impossible for race officials to get a race started for the Male and Female Fleets.
With no racing, Defending Champion Kempe remains the Male leader with 2 Net Points, while Stovell is in 30th place with 45 Net Points in the Female Fleet.
Meanwhile, Campbell Patton sailed to victory in the ILCA7 Atlantic Coast Championships.
The 21-year-old finished the championships with a total of 13 Net Points, in the six race series, winning races 4 & 5.
Patton said in a Sail-World interview, “Making strong starts was the key to his title.
I executed that pretty well for most races and when I didn’t, I struggled, and it was a big catch-up game.”
Also competing was Benn Smith, who finished in 8th with 45 Net Points, Smith had a second place finish in the 5th race as his best finish, and Christopher Adderley finished 20th with 87 Net Points, with his best finish of 13th in the 2nd race of the series.
