With under a month to the SSL Gold Cup Qualifiers in Grandson Star Sailors League (SSL) Bermuda has started to announce the race squad!

Today we present Somers Kempe.
Kempe is one of the most well-known sailors in Bermuda having previously been Commodore of the Royal Bermuda Yacht club and having competed in 10 Newport to Bermuda races.
He has represented Bermuda internationally in a variety of classes and brings a wealth of experience to the team and we can certainly rely on him behind the wheel!
His son Sebastian Kempe recently won the ISAF Youth Worlds in the ILCA 6 class, SSL Team Bermuda look forward to having both Kempe boys on the team for future SSL Editions when Sebastian turns 18 next year.
