Bermuda Sailors Continue Optimist Championships

Eight Bermuda young sailors were back in action competing in the 2021 South American Optimist Championships in Mar del Plata, Argentina.

Ethan Thompson, Sarah Davis, Trystan Hocking, Shiloh Cruickshank, Oliver Soares, Riley Lowe, Sophia Dias, and Dylan Menzies all took to the water for the 3 more races on Day Three of Individual racing.

Thompson continues to lead the Bermuda Fleet, as he came off the water in 7th place overall with 48 Net Points, he finished 3rd in the first race, which was the sixth of the series, he would then finish 2nd in the second race, and then he finished 13th in the final race of the day.

Davis currently is holding down the 56th spot with 109 Net Points, after finishes of 3rd, 3rd, and 9th, Dias had finishes of Black Flagged, 15th, and 12th for her 145 Net Points to remain in 68th place, while Lowe is in 77th with 168 Net Points, and Cruickshank is in 87th place with 190 Net Points,

Hocking is in 96th with 220 points, while Soares is in 123rd with 204 points, and Menzies is in 132nd with 226 points.
