Patton Falls Down ILCA 7 Championships Leaderboard

Campbell Patton and the other 138 Entries from 44 Countries, found themselves in familiar territory as three races were completed at the 2021 ILCA 7 World Championships in Spain.
The sailors went out for the first warning signal at 9:00 and successfully sailed two races with a northwesterly wind oscillating between 8 and 12 knots.
Patton and his Blue Fleet competitors saw Italy’s Giovanni Coccoluto first in the first race, ahead of Great Britain’s Sam Whaley and Joel Rodriguez of Spain. Patton finished the first race of the day in 44th.
In the second race for the Blue Fleet, they had s shortened to finish at the gate. First place went to Spain’s Joaquín Blanco, second to New Zealand’s Thomas Saunders, and third to Great Britain’s Michael Beckett. Patton crossed the line in 50th place.
In the third and final race of the day, Cypriot Pavlos Kontides was first to cross the finish line in the Blue Fleet, with Spain’s Món Cañellas in second, and Whaley in third. Patton finished 47th in the fleet.
Patton came off the water in 107th place with a Net Point total score of 173 after starting the day in 75th place.
