Bermuda Sailors Continue South American Championships

Santino Marcatelli, Guilherme Menezes and Rafaela Salvatore lead the Optimist South American Championship competition that brings together 169 sailors from 17 countries including Bermuda in the Nautical Association of the Pacific of Chile.

Only one race was sailed on the day, taking the total to four races in the Regatta. Six of the Bermuda Sailors remain in the top 100 in the Fleet.

Christian Ebbin continues to lead the Bermuda Fleet, but he fell four places from his starting position of 13th place and he came off the water in 17th with 31 Net Point.

Rachel Betschart is in 45th place with 82 Net Points, Laura Hupman is holding down the 54th place with 90 Points, while Ava Adams is in 59th place with 96 Points.

Magnus Ringsted is in 84th with 116 Points, Sebastian Kempe is 88th with 118 Points, while Kipling Rossouw is 115th with 148 Points.

Ben Redburn is in 123rd with 154 Points, while Amelia Lewis is in 128th with 159 Points and Nicole Stovell is in 129th place with 159 Points.
