The Bermuda Football Association’s Competition Committee has informed Premier Division clubs Somerset Trojans and Southampton Rangers of their decision regarding their abandoned match on Sunday March 11st at the Somerset Cricket Club.
The Ruling states:
In accordance with the Clause 2 p (i) of the Divisional Rules of the Competition which states:
In all cases were the Committee is satisfied that a game has been abandoned owing to the conduct of one team or membership organization or its/their members, fans, or any spectators attending the match they shall award the points and a score of 3 – 0 for the game to its opponents and take what other action they may deem necessary. In the event that the offending team is losing by a score that is greater than 3 – 0 at the time of the abandonment, the Committee shall record the score at the time of the abandonment.
Therefore, the Competitions Committee has ruled to apply the sanctions as listed in Clause 2 p (i) and award 3 points to the Somerset Trojans and record a score of 3 – 0.
