BAA 1 (3) Paget Lions 1 (4) – Kicks from the Penalty Mark
The Paget Lions have advanced to the FA Challenge Cup Semi-Finals following their win via Kicks from the Penalty Mark over BAA at the BAA Field.
The two teams ended regulation level at 1 – 1.
Tahj Wade gave the Paget Lions the lead in the 21st minute when BAA failed to clear the ball from danger and the ball would fall to Wade who’s shot from just outside the box beat the BAA goalkeeper to his left.
Just prior to the game’s opening goal there was some excitement as BAA defender Tyrell Burgess had a free kick from some 30 yards out crash against the crossbar before being cleared.
Just when it looked as if Paget would advance in regulation time Marcus Brangman would equalize for BAA in the 88th minute, thus sending the game to Extra Time.
Neither team would be able to break the deadlock and the match would then be decided with the kicks with Paget winning 4 – 3.
