At the Wellington Oval, the St. George’s Colts took an early lead with a goal from Justin Denbrooke, but Clay Darrell would draw the visiting Dandy Town Hornets level midway through the half, but minutes later the St. George’s Colts would go back in front when Macai Simmons scored from the penalty spot.
In the 55th minute the game was level at 2 – 2 when Jahnazae Swan equalized for the Dandy Town Hornets, but just as it was looking as if the teams would share the points, Mackie Crane scored in injury time to give the St. George’s Colts a 3 – 2 win over the defending League Champions Dandy Town Hornets.
