North Village Rams 3 Hamilton Parish 2

At the Bernard’s Park, the Bermuda Football Association’s Dudley Eve Trophy Competition kicked off with the North Village Rams taking on Hamilton Parish.

Hamilton Parish took the lead in the 28th minute when Patrick Richardson scored, but the North Village Rams drew level in the 36th minute when Keishen Bean found the back of the net. Bean gave the North Village Rams the lead three minutes later when he converted from the penalty spot. The teams went to the break with the North Village Rams leading 2-1.

The second half saw the North Village Rams increase their lead in the 56th minute, an intended cross came back off the crossbar and Jason Lee was on hand to put the ball away from close range. Zenawi Bowen headed Hamilton Parish back into the game in the 65th minute, the game saw North village rams defender Tankard and Hamilton Parish midfielder Chris Caisey were sent off. Neither team could find the back of the net for the rest of the game as the North Village Rams win 3-2.

Flanagan’s Onion’s 2 Devonshire Cougars 2

A blistering right footed volley from some 40 yards off the boot of Flanagan’s Onion’s player Nathan Peskett in the 11th minute stunned the Devonshire Cougars, five minutes later Kevin Ronaldson was on hand to put away a cross earning Flanagan’s a 2 – 0 lead over the Devonshire Cougars, but one minute later the lead was down to one, Mark Steede was on hand to steer a cross into the net for the Devonshire Cougars making it 2 – 1 where it would stay until the half time break.

The second half saw both team struggle to create chances, however just when it would appear that the Flanagan’s Onion’s would record a win Steede was on hand in injury time to put the ball away from close range after a goalmouth scramble thus ending the game at 2 – 2.
