Another slice of Women’s FA Cup action saw a 2nd Round Qualifying game between Keunna Dill and her Norwich City Women teammates & Cambridge United WFC.
Norwich took the lead inside the opening 5 minutes, when Dill latched onto the ball and blasted the ball into the back of the net.
Dill was lively in attack for Norwich a good ball forwards into her from captain Millie Daviss, Dill got in front of her marker to swing her foot into the shot from 30 yards out but it went just wide.
Striker Kelley Blanchflower gathered the ball and made a powerful run into the box and smashed her shot low across the goal for the equalizer.
Norwich retook the lead in the closing moment of the first half, a Aimee Durrant free-kick was met by Daviss six yards to make the score 2-1.
Cambridge came back to level the scores for the 2nd time in the match. The ball played into the box saw Blanchflower shoot on the angle pace on the ball races past Hope Armstrong into the goal beyond to score her 5th goal of the season.
Norwich had been competitive in the middle all game Daviss supported by Cook and Nixon won the ball passed it into the path of Durrant who struck it well and the ball nestled in the goal to give the hosts the lead late in the game 3-2.
