Bermuda striker Jonte Smith has signed a new contract with Lewes Football Club as Darren Freeman continues to build his side for next season's Bostik Premier League campaign.
Smith rejoined the club in November 2016, after a short spell with Welling United. The Bermudian International has been a key component of our promotion campaign, scoring 20 goals in all competitions this season.
The new deal will keep Smith at the club until the end of the 2018/19 season with an option for a further year.
Freeman is pleased to have the 23-year-old striker signed. "Jonte showed that he's more than capable of scoring goals at Bostik Premier level when we were last in that league a couple of seasons ago. He's a class act and he's added more to his game over the course of this season. I'm delighted we've got him with us for next season."
Smith will be joined next season by Luke Blewden, plus many of the defenders and midfielders from last season's squad.
