Nathan Trott was an unused substitute as West Ham United took a giant leap towards securing their Premier League survival and piled more pressure on Leicester City boss Claude Puel with a 2-0 victory at the King Power Stadium.
West Ham inflicted a fourth Leicester loss in five Premier League matches through goals in each half from Joao Mario and Mark Noble, with the captain scoring a possible goal-of-the-season contender.
The win moved West Ham six points clear of the bottom three and put a three-point cushion between Swansea City and Huddersfield Town immediately below them.
REGGIE LAMBE
Reggie Lambe and his Carlisle teammates were unable to hand manager Keith Curle a win to mark his final game in charge of the team as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Newport.
Curle announced last month he was leaving the club after three-and-a-half years at the helm.
Newport fought back after conceding an early Mark Ellis goal to equalize with Padriag Amond's 15th goal of the season.
However, with both sides outside of the play-off picture, the result was largely academic.
