The FA Challenge Cup Final was abandoned 17 minutes into the first half as inclement weather saw the referee clear the field for the players safety.

The match was some 17 minutes down, when a heavy rain shower followed by thunder and lightning forced referee Martin Wyer to halt the game.

Match officials and Bermuda Football Association officials reached out to the weather service and after some discussions a decision was made to bring a halt to the game.

Both teams created a chance in the match, but the weather was always going to be the winner on the day.

Officials have indicated that the match will be played on Tuesday April 10th at the National Sports Center with a 7pm kick off.
