Burnley are making a new approach for Huddersfield Town striker Nahki Wells.
The Daily Mail says the Turf Moor club had been in talks to sign Abdul Majeed Waris from Lorient though that would need an appeal on his work permit application so they have asked again about Wells.
The 27-year-old has been recovering from an ankle operation and is expected to be fit in four weeks.
Wolves, Leeds and Reading have also made enquiries.
