BFA President Mourns the Passing of Captain Burrell

The Bermuda Football Association along with the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) mourns the loss of its Council Senior Vice President, Captain Horace Burrell, who passed away on Tuesday, June 6, 2017.
Bermuda Football Association President Mark Wade said, “We have sent our condolences to the Jamaica Football Federation, captain Burrell has left big shoes in the region to fill and it is my hope that though his guidance Football in the region goes from strength to strength.”
Captain Burrell’s commitment and vision for the sport contributed to create a strong legacy for the game within the region. With his passion and spirit, he was a tireless supporter of his country’s football development.
Captain Burrell served as President of the Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) between 1994 and 2003, and from 2007 until his transition today. He also served as a member of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee and a Vice President of the Jamaica Olympic Association.
