PHC Zebras are the 2016/17 FA Challenge Cup Champions
PHC Zebras 1 North Village Rams 0 - After Extra Time
The first 45 minutes of this FA Challenge Cup Final was surprising in several ways as it ended scoreless. Shayne Hollis the North Village Rams striker watched his shot from two yards out hit his heel and go the other direction, Tre Ming was lucky to still be on the field after some bad decisions and Jalon Harvey did not receive a card for his foul in the box that resulted in a PHC Zebras penalty. After a lengthy wait Cecoy Robinson had his spot kick saved by Tahj Bell.
The second half was more entertaining with both teams opening up, several chances were created but still no goals. The game saw balls cleared off the lines, players making last minute tackles and players making bad decisions in the final third.
The games first goal came in the 113th minute when PHC Zebras defender Daren Usher, after having the North Village Rams under pressure for a long period a ball inside the box saw blocked and fell to Usher who's low shot beat Bell and gave the PHC Zebras a 1 - 0 lead.
No further goal were scored as the PHC Zebras lifted the Trophy.
