Ilkeston FC have taken the opportunity to sign Dante Leverock who last season played for the Harrisburg City Islanders of the American USL.
The 24 year old 6’3 Bermudian international defender played two weeks ago in an international friendly against Canada.
The center back played 22 games for the Islanders last season, contributing to 9 clean sheets (4th best in the USL) and scored 3 goals. He has 6 caps and has scored 1 goal since his international debut March of 2015.
Leverock is familiar to Ilkeston FC as he spent time training whilst over studying in England a few years ago.
He had a couple of other options to play in the USL again this season but he has grasped the Robins offer to join the squad until the end of the season.
The Robins have secured international clearance this week and he joins the squad for Saturdays home clash against promotion chasing Blyth Spartans.
