Somerset Trojans 1 Dandy Town Hornets 4
The Dandy Town Hornets advanced to the FA Challenge Cup Quarter-Final following their 4 - 1 win over the Somerset Trojans at the Somerset Cricket Club.
Angelo Simmons gave the visitors Dandy Town Hornets a 1 - 0 lead in the 34th minute a lead they would take to the halftime break.
The Somerset Trojans had the chance to level the score some five minutes in the second half when they were awarded a penalty. Damon Swan scored, but was ordered to retake the kick following an early approach in the box by an attacking player, Swan’s second attempt was missed.
The game then burst into life with four goals in 20 minutes. In the 70th minute Drewonde Bascome doubled the Dandy Town Hornets lead, but 5 minutes later Antoine Seaman pulled a goal back for the Somerset Trojans making the score 2 - 1 with 15 minutes to play.
Simmons would connect again for the Dandy Town Hornets in the 82nd minute to put the visitors ahead 3 - 1, Jamel Swan extended the Dandy Town Hornets lead to three goals in the 90th minute.
With the final score 4 - 1 the Dandy Town Hornets with travel to the opposite end of the island for their Quarter-Final match against X-Road’s at the Garrison Field.
