Rai Simons
Rai Simons was once again an unused substitute watching a topsy-turvy thriller, as his Chesterfield teammates took the lead, lost it, came from behind and miraculously won 3-2 defeating MK Dons for their first away win of the year.
After absorbing half an hour of pressure Chesterfield took the lead from the spot against the run of play, Jay O'Shea converting for the second time in a week after Reece Mitchell had been fouled by the 'keeper.
Into the second half and Chesterfield improved, but were pegged back in unfortunate circumstances when Daniel Powell's saved shot rebounded into the net off his own shins, minutes later Ryan Colclough's deflected effort put the hosts ahead.
Chesterfield were soon level themselves, substitute Kristian Dennis pouncing on a loose ball in the box, before Dan Gardner put the visitors ahead again following stellar Gboly Ariyibi work down the left.
REGGIE LAMBE
Reggie Lambe made his first league start for two months as Carlisle United conceded a late equaliser from Tom Bolarinwa helping Grimsby maintain their unbeaten start under new boss Marcus Bignot.
The 26-year-old scored at the second attempt, on 77 minutes, as they drew 2-2 with Carlisle at Blundell Park.
A costly error from James McKeown gift-wrapped an opener to Charlie Wyke, before Omar Bogle levelled from the penalty spot.
Zak Mills then turned into his own net as Carlisle regained the lead, courtesy of a devilish ball from the right-hand side.
But as has proved to be a trait since the arrival of Bignot - from Solihull Moors - the Mariners never gave up.
And they had Bolarinwa to thank for earning a share of the spoils. He won an initial header, before firing home from close range.
Earlier in the evening, an acrobatic overhead kick from Bogle went inches wide of the Carlisle target.
At the other end a similar attempt from Nicky Adams had Grimsby keeper McKeown scrambling across his line.
