This Shield Preliminary match needed 120 minutes to decide a winner as X-Road’s got a goal three minutes into the first period of extra time off the boot of Mickih McGowan as he held off a defender and beat the Paget Lions goalkeeper Jason Smith to his right.
Prior to that, Demarlo Curtis scored a hat-trick for Paget, with Jahniya Richardson adding the other, while Tyquan Perinchief
William Spencer, Jorge Sanchez and Jamin Furbert all found the net in the teams 4 - 4 regulation time result, sending the game into the extra time.

Hamilton Parish advanced to the Quarter-Finals of the Shield with a 2 - 0 win over the Southampton Rangers. Tareek Webb scored in the 35th minute and two minutes later John Hunt-Tucker would double the Hamilton Parish lead and earn them the win.

One man scored four times, but three goals in the final three minutes brought to an end a hardfought Friendship Trophy Preliminary Round match at Police Field.
The Boulevard Blazers went ahead in the 16th minute when Ian Coke won a ball on top of the box and with the Somerset Trojans goalkeeper Shaquille Bean stranded Coke was able to lobbed the ball into an empty net. Vernon Perinchief would equalize for the Somerset Trojans i the 30th minute, however Coke would restore the Boulevard Blazers lead with his second goal of the game in the 36th minute.
In the 60th minute the Boulevard Blazers would go up 3 - 1 with Coke scoring again, two minutes later it would be a one goal game when Justin Corday scored, but Coke would score his fourth of the game in the 75th minute making it 4 - 2, as the Boulevard Blazers looked as if they would be advancing, but the Somerset Trojans had other ideas. Daunte Woods would score in the 88th and 89th minutes to pull the Somerset Trojans level at 4 - 4 and then Corday would get the game winning goal in the 90th minute.

Over at the BAA Field, Robin Hood withstood a solid challenge from the Somerset Eagles to advance to the next round, Robin Hood got a goal from Lejuan Simmons and Zuhri Burgess who converted from the penalty spot, while Tristin Smith scored the lone goal for the Somerset Eagles.
