Corona League President Mike McGrath during the 2016-17 League Season Schedule Release said, “Another exciting season awaits us and all the teams are itching to start on a new campaign.”
The League is entering it's 8th season, one new team has entered the league in the Footy Kings, while the 2015-16 League Champions North Village Rams have withdrawn from the league.
Nine teams have signed up for the new season, giving us a line up of:

McGrath went on to say, “This exciting new season will start with the Coronita Charity Shield on Friday 7th October warming us all up for the much anticipated start of the league which kicks off on Friday 14th October with all the teams wanting to see if their pre seasons have paid off.
The League also has an additional sponsor in BTC, BTC have come onboard to sponsor the BTC Cup, this Cup competition will feature a Group Stage and then a knockout.
The game times will be the same as last season with Friday’s games kicking off at 6.30pm and 8.30pm and Saturdays 4pm and 6pm.
“The Corona league has always been a family affair and that's true even for our sponsors as Corona has brought its little brother Coronita to the party to sponsor this season's Charity Shield game so we can continue to give back to the community with entertaining football for the family to spectate as well as financially to charity,” said McGrath.
This year’s game sees Robin Hood take on West End United at 7pm this Friday at BAA's Goose Goslings Field.
