Nahki Wells and his Ten-man Huddersfield teammates put up a fight but still fell to only their second Sky Bet Championship defeat of the season when they lost 1-0 at Reading.
Huddersfield lost winger Rajiv van La Parra midway through the first half when he was sent off for a second booking - for dissent - in the space of three minutes.
Reading made it eight games in a row undefeated with a goal four minutes from half-time, when Roy Beerens steered in a deflected shot, and then held on to thwart a late Huddersfield rally.
Huddersfield drop from first place to second in the table.
REGGIE LAMBE
The fantastic run for Reggie Lambe and his Carlisle United teammates continued with a well-earned home victory over Wycombe courtesy of a second half Shaun Miller goal.
Carlisle United were lifted and they took the lead when Danny Grainger sent a flighted ball down the left wing. Charlie Wykle was dumped to the floor but Shaun Miller ignored the calls for a free kick as he carried it forward. He drew Jamal Blackman off his line and bagged his second of the season with a lovely finish.
Chest control from Lambe who entered the game a minute after the goal was followed by a stunning volley which hit Blackman and curved wide.
