Midfielder Reggie Lambe spoke with Amy Nixon from Carlisle United ahead of training on Friday morning about his own form and the Leyton Orient game.
"I've seen the chances from the Accrington game back a few times," he admitted. "I'm very disappointed because I thought I should have scored. I hit it straight at the keeper and if I'd chosen a side it would have gone in and we would have came away with a win.
"I'm pleased with my form overall. I'm playing most of the games and hopefully the manager can back me and keep me in the team as long as I'm doing what I have to do in training.
"I've got a few goals and the team is creating a lot of chances so I feel we're always going to score. We've just got to be clinical in those situations. We've got to make sure if we get half a chance we do score, or at the very least work the keeper.
"We've been doing well with creating chances so I think we'll do well this season. If we keep creating them we should come away with wins or at least draws."
"When you get a chance and don't finish it I think you've just got to forget about it," he told us. "You know you'll get another one which you've got to make sure you do better with. We aren't getting frustrated because we are in the right areas. Finishing those chances is what we're working on now.
"We can play it long if we have to but that's just to enable us to squeeze up. Once we do play it long and get the ball back we try and keep it and play the way the manager wants us to. He wants us to keep the ball moving and get it wide so we can get crosses in."
On the style of football the team are playing at the moment, he said: "It's a joy to play in this team, I like getting the ball but if I don't I know Nicky [Adams] is going to go down the left and cross it, so I make sure I get in the box. Knowing things like that about what people are going to do with the ball makes it easier as a player."
"The fans have been great with me so far and I'll be doing my best to keep it that way," he continued. "It's been brilliant since I've been here. The fans have been behind me and I guess I've been giving back to them.
"They are here to support you, they're coming to watch the game, so you know if you make a mistake as long as you do something good the next time you get the ball they'll be back on your side.
"They've been right behind us this season so and I think they're going to enjoy watching us."
Ahead of Saturday's game against Leyton Orient at Brunton Park, he said: "It will be another tough test. I think it's been good for us to have the tough games at the start of the season because it's given us chance, as a group, to show that we can come together and go undefeated. Hopefully we can carry that on.
"We've been starting games well so we'll be looking to do that again on Saturday. We come out for the warm up and get our heads on and when we come out for kick off everyone is really focussed and ready to go. We'll keep that mentality throughout the season and as long as we keep working for each other we'll be a good team."
We spoke with the attacking midfielder ahead of the announcement of the starting eleven, and we asked him what it was like for a player at that stage of the week when the team hasn't yet been confirmed.
"The Friday training session when you're waiting for the manager to pick the team isn't what I would call nerve-wracking, but you just really want to be involved," he admitted. "Everyone wants to be in the team but whatever decision is made you've still got to be prepared in case anything changes.
"Even when you aren't in the team you've got to stay focused and listen to instructions for the set pieces, and things like that, so you're ready when you come on.
"Everyone is supportive, whoever gets picked, because we know that the manager thinks that his selection is his best team for the game."
