RAI SIMONS – CHESTERFIELD – ENGLISH DIVISION ONE
Bradford wound up the regular Sky Bet League One season with a richly deserved 2-0 win over Rai Simons’ 10-man Chesterfield in front of a bumper 20,807 crowd.
Simons was an unused substitute for the match.
Bradford City, who recorded a seventh successive home win, will meet fourth-placed Millwall in the play-offs after they won at Gillingham.
DANTE LEVEROCK – HARRISBURG CITY ISLANDERS – UNITED STATES SOCCER LEAGUE
Dante Leverock watched from the bench as his Harrisburg City Islanders FC and FC Cincinnati played to a 1-1 draw in their first ever match in Harrisburg in front of 2,204 fans at FNB Field.
Craig Foster broke the scoring open with a hard shot over the shoulder of the Cincinnati goalie to give the Islanders 1-0 lead less than 20 minutes into the game. City held that lead almost for the entirety of the game until former Philadelphia Union loanee Jimmy McLaughlin fired a shot off an Islander for the ultimate tying goal in the 82nd minute.
