SOMERSET EAGLES ARE CROWNED THE 2015-16 FIRST DIVISION CHAMPIONS

WOLVES 0 SOMERSET EAGLES 6
At the Devonshire Recreation Club the Somerset Eagles were crowned the First Division Champions following their 5 – 0 win over Wolves, combined with the 3-1 loss by the Flanagan’s Onions to St. David’s.

Playing against ten men Wolves team, Somerset Eagles opened the scoring in the 34th minute when Khimo Harrison scored, Rashaun Seaman doubled the lead in the 36th minute. Three minutes later Nathan Rego found the back of the net to give the Somerset Eagles a 3 – 0 lead, Rego would then strike again in the 53rd minute, Rego would complete his hat-trick with a strike in the 72nd minute and when Allan Wilkerson scored the Somerset Eagles ended the match with the six goal advantage.

ST. DAVID’S 3 FLANAGAN’S ONIONS 1

At Lord’s in St. David’s the home team denied the Flanagan’s Onions the title following their 3 – 1 win, St. David's took the lead in the 4th minute when Allan Douglas Jr. scored, Diego MaCallan doubled the lead in the 18th minute. The Flanagan’s Onions pulled within one in the 72nd minute when Phil Matthews scored, but when MaCallan struck again in the 87th minute it ended Flanagan’s Onions dreams of lifting the trophy.

PAGET LIONS 0 ST. GEORGE’S COLTS 3

At the Southampton Oval, the St. George’s Colts will be handed a 3 – 0 win after the Paget Lions showed up with only 6 men and loss by default.

YOUNG MEN SOCIAL CLUB 2 BAA 2

At the PHC Stadium, Young Men Social Club and BAA ended in a 2 – 2 draw, Clay Darrell will win the First Division Golden Boot after he scored his teams two goals, while BAA got a goal apiece from Alaye Darrell and Morriko Iris.

IRELAND RANGERS 1 X-ROAD’S 4

At Malabar, X-Road’s ended their season with a 4 – 1win over Ireland Rangers. It was Ireland Rangers who would score first in the 6th minute when Micheal Simmons found the back of the net. X-Road’s would equalize in the 10th minute with a Khomeni Talbot goal, Jorge Sanchez gave X-Road’s the lead in the 50th minute, Kijuan Wilkinson would make it a two goal lead in the 76th min, before Talbot closed out the scoring in the 84th minute.

PREMIER DIVISION

SOUTHAMPTON RANGERS 3 HAMILTON PARISH 1

Needing a win to keep their hopes of survival alive the Southampton Rangers jumped out to a 2 – 0 lead within 7 minutes in their match against Hamilton Parish at the Southampton Oval.

The game was only two minutes old, when Jahkai Dyer scored, five minutes later it was 2 – 0 when Khalil Symonds found the back of the net. Symonds made it 3 – 0 in the 20th minute a lead that Southampton Rangers would take to the break.

Donavan Thompson gave Hamilton Parish a life line when he scored in the 66th minute, but it was not enough as the Southampton Rangers picked up three vital points winning 3 – 1.

DEVONSHIRE COUGARS 4 BOULEVARD BLAZERS 2

At the Devonshire Recreation Club the Devonshire Cougars defeated the Boulevard Blazers 2 – 1. The Devonshire Cougars got goals from Mark Steede, Zari Simmons, Vincent Minors Jr. and Moses Steede, while the Boulevard Blazers had a goal apiece from Mark Smith and Dunn-Ya Taylor.
